Determined to change the face Ovia South-West local government area through rapid development, the Executive Chairman, Comrade Destiny Oghayerio Enabulele, visited two World Bank development agencies in the State.

The agencies visited were the Community and Social Development Project (CSDP) and the State Employment and Expenditure for Results (SEEFOR)

Enabulele told heads of both agencies that his desire to give a rapid development to Ovia South-West local government area is the driving force for the visit.

Enabulele “What informed this visit is that we want to deviate from the old pattern of doing things. We are in hurry to develop Ovia South-West local government area, but we cannot do it alone. To achieve this, we are aware that we just have to partner with CSDP.

“We are ready to do the needful, to bring you to our local government, and we have the political will to drive the process, because are here to change the narrative and to make a clear departure from the old order,” he told the CSDP officials

In her response, the Board Chairperson of Edo CSDP, Dr. (Mrs.) Nosa Aladeselu, said it was heartwarming to have the Executive Chairman partner with them, adding that CSDP will score more points through the partnership with Ovia South-West.

Dr. (Mrs.) Aladeselu said CSDP stands for sustainable rural community development in a way that the communities themselves understand what development is all about.

“Ovia South-West is going to benefit a lot, in that they will be able to educate the communities on how to access funds from our agency and it also give CSDP (sponsored by the World Bank) easy political access to the communities, we don’t have a long line waiting for authorities on how to reach the communities,” she said.

The State Coordinator of SEEFOR, Toju Onaiwu, who also commended Comrade Enabulele, said his coming to them for partnership shows that he knows what he is doing.

He noted that with the partnership drive, Enabulele has just shown that he means well for his people and that the development of his local government area is foremost in his heart.
