The Edo SEEFOR grants to TVAT aim to increase access, and improve the quality of skills acquisition and development for youth empowerment through existing vocational and technical training institutions, building on the experience of similar World Bank funded project. Grants to Agricultural training institution seeks to engage, equip and empower youth with resources to become better agro-entrepreneurs with the view to creating employment and ensuring food security in Edo State. The grant also aids in assisting Institutions to meet required criteria by NBTE and NABTEB for accreditation of their courses.
The following Institutions spread across Edo state have benefited through the TVAT grant since inception of the Edo SEEFOR project;

• Edo State Skills Acquisition Centre, Igharra
• Edo State College of Agriculture, Iguoriakhi
• Government Science and Technical College (GSTC), Benin
• Government Science and Technical College, Irrua
• Government Science and Technical College, Afuze
• Government Science and Technical College, Igharra
• Institute of Management and Technology, Usen
Presently, the Edo State government adopted a more effective and substantial method of implementing activities under this sub-component across the different TVAT Institutions of Edo State. Starting with immense rehabilitation of the GSTC in Benin City with grants from World Bank and European Union, the other TVAT institutions will follow suit after completion of the rehabilitation and remodeling of the GSTC in Benin City. This method of intervention will lead to the substantial rehabilitation of all the TVAT institutions in Edo State.
